Based in Guildford, Optimum Golf Technologies is one of the fastest expanding technology companies in the golf industry today, with a customer base covering indoor golf centres, hotels, golf clubs, cruise liners, resorts, and private homes.

Thanks to the continued growth of the company, we now have an exciting opportunity for a committed IT Hardware Technician to join the team in the Tech Support Department. The role will encompass aspects of first- and second-line customer support with a primary focus on micro-electronic servicing and repair. 

Your core responsibilities will include

  • Diagnosis and repair of launch monitors and approved hardware.
  • Ensuring all units are serviced and returned to Customers within SLA.
  • Perform Quality Control checks on all outbound units.
  • Liaising with manufacturers in the USA for all manufacturer RMA queries and following their Standard Operating Procedures through diagnosis to conclusion.
  • Effectively track & communicate ticket status to Customers in a timely manner. 
  • Maintain ticket management system to a high level of accuracy, ensuring all hardware queries are recorded and consumables are allocated to jobs.
  • Discuss complex hardware repairs with customers of varying technical ability & understanding.
  • Ensure that Customer support meets or exceeds our SLA and service levels at all times.
  • Ensure all Finance controlled administration is completed accurately and is always progressed through to completion ahead of set deadlines.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Ideally 3-5 years’ experience in a busy, technical support role with a specific focus on micro-electronics and hardware repairs.
  • Organized, methodical & process driven.
  • Ability to self-motivate, prioritise, and manage own workload while under pressure.
  • Flexible and pragmatic – an ability to self-plan and respond to shifting priorities.
  • The ability to grasp technical concepts and new product functionality quickly.
  • Work cross-functionally with other departments to find the best solution for our customers.
  • Ability to concentrate on detail in a very busy environment with the possibility of constant interruptions.
  • Investigate and resolve customer queries in a professional and empathetic manner.
  • Passion for micro-electronics and customer service.

Advantageous

  • Soldering experience
  • Direct experience using Zoho ERP 
  • PAT testing experience 
  • Working within a sterile environment 
  • Golfer

Salary & Benefits

  • £22,000 to 26,000 per annum + performance related annual bonus
  • 20 Days Holiday increasing by 1 day per year to a maximum of 25 days
  • Pension contribution
